My Happy Monday Secret

TADA! This is the secret to my happy days...

I went for the introductory session on a Friday evening ALONE. Well, Ad told me that she has a course to attend on Friday night and she will attend the afternoon session for this instead. Turns out, I'm the only one who went and in the end, went home to update her.

I signed for the seminar alone. I was keen and excited that T. Harv Eker was to come to Singapore and personally conduct the seminar. The course materials looked attractive and to tell you the truth, I signed up because of the DVDs and CDs. Ha. The seminar was on 7-9 Nov 2008 3 days and from 9am-11pm on day 1, 9am-10pm on day 2 and 8am-9pm on day 3! I was running out of leave and wasn't very keen on sitting through a seminar for such long hours! Frankly, I don't even wake up that early for work! ;P

So I signed up and paid a hefty $250. I said it was hefty cos I found out that some people went for free cos they had free tickets from some previous seminar purchases. There were some who paid $98 and had no course materials and there were some who paid more. If you average it out, I did pay more. BUT.... the difference is the course material. I didn't have to scribble like hell on anything and everything he said. I had a course workbook so most of the notes are already in the book. I just need to fill up the blanks. :)

I'm not lazy mind you, but I felt that I could listen more and pay more attention to the important points rather than fretting over what I manage to capture on notes and what I didn't. Success Resources, the company who helped oragnised all these events, smsed me and informed me to arrive early on the first day to get the materials and avoid the massive human traffic. The time they suggested was 7am! That's crazy, I stuck to my orignial plan and arrive at 8.30am. The crowd was crazy! There were about 5000 people who went for the seminar! Some evenjavascript:void(0) flew from their countries just to attend this. It is pretty impressive to know that there are so many who are so committed to learning! They flew from New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Phillippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China! It was amazing...

Going to a seminar alone was daunting for me... you see, I never go anywhere quite alone. Well, business travel aside. To go to a seminar for the first time alone and for 3 whole days! I must say that i was quite impressed with myself at the end of the three days. HA! It is quite an experience and I met alot of nice people there...

I got to know 3 very wonderful people... Big brother Steven, 2nd brother Danny and my very wise sister Courina!

Courina is a very wise lady. She started working since young and worked to earn her school fees. She's now a tour guide and travels around the world to know people and learn from them.

Steven is a very successful steel trader. He is going to Switzerland for a business trip and is probably going to have a blast of his life!

Danny is a smart and filial boy who works really hard and is excellent with his money. He is also a dealer for a wide range of alcohol! So all those alcoholics out there, drop me an email and I'll arrnage a drinking high-class session with whole-sale prices! :) *hick*

I have alot to learn from all of them and it's great to know that all of us are applying what we have learnt from the seminar in our lifes. Let's hope that we get to meet up soon... it's hard to arrange 3 busy schedules and find an empty slot...
