Valentine's Day White Party!

I bought a cake!!!! From awfully chocolate! It's soooo pretty! heart shape!

I don't celebrate Valentine's Day cos it's too commercialise but it's fun to soak in in the atmosphere with the rest.... ha ha ha

We went to our favourite PS Cafe at paragon cos we went to Taka to run some errands... collect purchase from Cartier (finally it has arrived but has scratches so I sent it back for a new piece, what good service and they were apologetic about it unlike some shops who may choose to accuse the consumers... anyways I like Cartier ;P) then alter Ad's pants, collect shoes, run the Fancl for a quick test and purchase... all under 1 hour... :)

My favourite Caesar salad! Love the poached egg... never able to get it done like that at home :/

Pasta Laksa Pesto.... YUMMY! OK I think the flash doesn't do it justice but look at the rest without flash. It's worse right? OK fine, I think I need lessons on photography liao. Hare being this sucky when others can have beautiful pictures!!!!! :/

Roast Beef sandwich. Love the potato salad but it's not as nice as before. Less tangy. Hmm... wonder what's missing... mustard perhaps (in the dressing!) Beef is tender but a tad sweet... I know it's valentine's but we still need to eat normally ok? :P

Then we promise Wei that we'll head to the White Party at Mimolette, Tirso is spinning there... you should check it out! It's at Fairway Drive off Eng Neo PIE exit.

The party was ok but the music rocked! We headed off to Party World at Liang Court then head off to eat Teochew porridge but no cockles! Damn!

Oh well... next time, I make sure I get my hands on those delicious cockles!
Ah... please get all your jabs alright? I am Hep B immune and have jab for my Hep A already..... so :P

Happy Valentine's Day!

To all my SB83 friends, a BIG KINGKONG HUG and a BIG baby-bird HUG! MUACKS!

Mommy's Birthday Dinner Part 2

STEAMBOAT!!!!!! favourite in the house cos of the chilli... ha haha..

Yes, we eat tons of veggies...
OK OK... don't complain about the newspaper. I like cos it prevents us from dirtyng the table and buying other stuff is an utter waste of money. REUSE and RECYCLE!

Mommy says this is for soup, we don't eat this. :P That bowl of yellow luquid is lime juice meant for squid when we BBQ it with parsley. Once BBQ, we will put lime juice and chilli and it's YUMMILICIOUS!

BIG prawns!

YUMS! TouFu!

$1 worth of pork liver :P

Chicken...

Fish...

ABALONE!!!!!

OK pass... :)

Pork!

Ah... forgot the squid ;P

Wei was stuffed, Ad was stuff, I'm stuffed, Mommy was stuffed and my brother still had room for tiramisu which Sister Kevin made ;)

THANK YOU MOMMY FOR MAKING THIS STEAMBOAT DINNER!!!!! Love you! MUACKS!

love food.... ;)

Mommy's Birthday Dinner Part 1

I brought forward my mom's birthday celebration cos she already has dinner arrangements that day. :/

We decided to go somewhere different and since we haven't tried Grand Shanghai, I thought we could give it a shot under Joyce's recommendation. She said that my mom will love the place and well, she's absolutely right!

The restaurant was packed and we had a little trouble getting help but the decor of the place was fantastic! Rustic and made me feel like I'm in Peace Hotel In Shanghai. The live band was good! Not the usual noisy ones but a jazz band and the lady singer was good! There are 2 ladies and both are pretty good! They were singing the oldies which all parents will be able to sing to.

Amazingly, despite what I've heard from everyone else, the food was pretty good! $68+++ per pax and since we have more than 4 people, we get to have a Peking Duck and it's yummy!!!!!

The only downfall is that I don't like chinese food in western proportions... too little! And yes, as usual, I was too engrossed with the food I forgot the rest!

ARGH!!!!!

But here's what I have...

Aaron and girlfriend Aileen

My mom looks good in this new dress and she's wearing the sweater I got her from Hong Kong! aaaawwww... she loves me!

Mom, me and ad

The "LOU HEI"!

I must say the soup is good! CLEAR soup with rich chicken taste :) but it has fins. :(

HUGE piece of chicken... I decided to take the flash off cos the light is too harsh so all the other colors get washed out. :/

Do go try and experience the old Shanghai glamour!

Happy Chinese New Year!
