Hong Kong Trip! Yippee!

All I did was shop, eat, shop, eat , shop, eat, shop and eat!!!!! And I totally enjoyed it!

DAY 1

Remember that troublesome French tenant? Ad's on the long distance with the dimwit, giving him a piece of her mind. :) Hooray!

Serious talk can still slot in a photo time right? :P We're on the Hong Kong Airport Express. Love this train. Fast and pretty reasonable pricing. Oh, clean too. :)

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express at causeway Bay. It's just behind Times Square. Talk about shopaholics' ideal place of lodging... ha ha ha

Oh, when Ad asked about whether they have gym facilities, they pointed to the nearest California gym on a map. I thought it was hilarious. :P

As "VIP", we were given a pack of tea! hahahaha... But I must say that the tea bags are not the usual linen bags, they're a bit "gauze" like so seem quite ex lor...

View from a 26th floor...

I always liked Hong Kong's city view... tall buildings... so nice!

Small little bathroom and a pretty smart use of space...

The main door is also used as a door for the toilet... cool eh?

Times Square! And they're featuring Carrie Chua from Wun Ying Productions.

I love this leopard black sheep...

A light snakc after lunch before dinner... :P

Pretty lady Joyce!

After Lin arrived, I insisted on my "double-boiled milk"

Lin and Joyce...

Dinner with Chris, Joyce's friend who lives in Hong Kong.....

The prawns are so fresh and well fried that it is not that oily and the prawn head is sooo crispy!

This is the juicest chai siew ever! And they're HUGE!

This is egg white with crab meat... ok la

When this is served, I nearly died cos there are only 7 of us and this could feed 14!

Look! Bigger than 2 hands!

erm.. the fish was wiped out even before I could take photos of it... ha ha ha... but it's really good!

Claypot veg. norm...

Nice dessert... red date tea warm.

This is a very refreshing dessert... chrysanthameum with ginseng and wolfberry jelly. yummy...

Red bean soup with lotus seeds...

This is interesting, egg custard with a layer of grated coconut...

And we went to the peak cos I wanted to see the night view AGAIN. ha :P

TA DA! Oh we need to pay to get to the top of the tower which I insisted NOT even though it's S$4. It's not the money I could take a good look at the night view at the vicinity too! So we managed to find a place where I could take in all that night view of Hong Kong!

Joyce is freezing but still manage to get a good shot

Ad and Lin testing my camera :P

Me and Ad...

Chris came to The Peak to meet us and brought us to another place to take more shots :P So sweet of him!

Yes, that's the race course.. there was a race that night.. too bad didn't get to go in. I don't like the idea of animals racing, fighting for human pleasure but I think it would be a good experience just to drink in all that atmosphere...

OK. These are dark man... I was told not to use flash. DUN ASK ME WHY. So I tried. Not such good an effect...

From this photo, you can tell that the boys are not good with technical stuff such as a camera...

I'm obviously better!

Night view with FLASH!

Time for 2nd round of dessert! We were driven by Chris to Chai Wan to have dessert. I ordered "Mountain Water Beancurd" which is "beancurd with sugar on top"

Ad ordered Almond Paste...

Lin ordered Sweet Potato.....

Shopping on first day.....

Cheap socks for me and cute koala bear for Ad.

The chess set belongs to Ad of course....

Ad loves chess...

DAY 2
Breakfast at Hotel!

Ad :)

Breakfast menu.. not a lot of choices. 4 of them for you. And we're staying for 4 nights. Damn.

My choice B

Ad's choice A

OK. Forget these if you go there. They're NOT nice.

Ad in the spirit of not wasting food.... stuffing everything down.

Met up with the girls for breakfast! :) Round 2

OI Pose! And Joyce responded. :) So pretty eh? Ah! She's wearing what she bought on the first day! A pair of tights that look like leather... :)

Only she can pass of something like this. I would look so fat. :P

A small little lane selling all the deco...

Breakfast Round 2 : Wan Ton noodles. Joyce's must-eat place and Lin's hubby Andrew's must-eat place too

Personally, I'm not a fan of Wan Ton noodles sooooo....

Psst...

Joyce?

Ad's just ignoring me cos she's likes the food here...

Don't care... insisted that she takes a photo with me :P

Ah. Worm in my veggies... :P

We took the escalator for a little sight seeing

That's a well-known club called droplet at the back of the pub in front called drop.

Nice ah?

Lunch time! Lin's must-eat Hong Kong Hainanese Chicken Rice. She says that the chicken is fatter than back home. The problem is that the chicken is COLD.

The rice is really nice and fluffy. I like...

Milk tea...

Fried Fish Skin... Lin's favourite!

Everyone's busy eating...

My favourite COKE! with lemon of course!

My french toast!

With mapel syrup!

See the fat in the chicken skin? Fatter eh?

I was wondering about whether eating the chicken fat will lead to bigger boobs like Lin's?

Shopping! Actually we were looking for toilet. Appraently, it's soooo difficult to find a public toilet in Hong Kong unless you're a customer from the shop or something.

This is at Central.

Big mall with BIG names...

We went Mong Kok and it was hard to fish out my camera and take all the photos... I didn't buy much. Ad ent berserk on iPhone accessories...

This is dinner at some random place in MongKok.

I must say it's DAMN good! We went overboard on the ordering and even the waitors were impressed when we cleaned out everything! hahahah....

This fried TouFu is YUMMY!

So crispy on the outside and soft on the inside...

Salt and pepper with cuttlefish. YUMS!

Stir Fried Beef noodles... not the usual ones cos this comes with carrot, egg and sesame seeds. Weird but not too bad.

The only problem... no egg tart! sold out! ARGH!

We went back to Causeway Bay and wanted dessert but it was so packed, we decide to go next door and have sushi for SUPPER!

Yes, it's not a typo and you didn't read wrong. SUPPER! hee hee...

All tired after 6 hours at Mong Kok...

OK, it started out as 2 pieces for each person...

Roasted mackeral...

Roasted salmon.....

Tuna belly.....

Foie Gras!!!!!

Ad couldn't believe it's that good....

So... remember I said 2 pieces for each person? It became 4 plates per person... hee hee... each plate has 2 servings... hahahahhaa

You have to go to this Japanese restaurant....

Day 2 conquest!

H&M! We don't have it back home! And this place is pretty cool has everything under the sun at a good price....

I got myself a scarf, a sweater and a pair of jeans.

Ad got herself a pair of jeans too. Incidentally, I think they are a little similar in pocket design. Cool!

Bought these 2 for mommy... the royal blue is silk and it's gorgeous when worn. Looks really expensive. :)

The cream colored sweat is very sweet... :)

Espirit warehouse... Bought a present for Fiona. Ad's buddy in AW.

Ad's MongKok iPhone craze.....

We took a cab to HungHom to get Ad's shoes. She bought 2 pairs there. I got mine in MongKok.

Nope, it's not desparate. It's called DETERMINATION! hahahahahha

We bought so much, they gave us the scarf as a gift. :P

Best busy in Mong Kok. :) Flip Flips. Will show you a movie on this. :)

DAY 3

Pink soldier outside Juicy Couture!

Dinner! My favourite dish!

We don't have this! Coke light with lemon

Pork Ribs... very juicy!

Clams so HUGE!

My favourite dish too...

This is soooo yummy... it's beancurd fried and sprinkled with fried garlic bits

Fried oyster in claypot...

Fried noodles...

THE DISH - UNDER THE BRIDGE SPICY FRIED CRAB!!!

This is the non-spicy version

This is the spicy version. I tried the extra hot and we nearly died the last time so this time we ordered little spicy. hee hee... so much for flase confidence. :P

Look how big and meaty and juicy this is?

Pasquale and wife Gina.... she took the trouble to book the place for us. Thank You Gina!

Group shot!

Me and my lovely Lillian... very very smart and sweet girl!

I've been hunting this! My favourite milk in Hong Kong. Always drink this when staying at Grand Hyatt. Ha! Oh! Their 7-11 take back those glass bottles for recycling. You will get a HKD1 refund which is SGD$0.20. Cool eh?

Drinks ladies? Joyce is dressed to kill! She's wearing a Issey Miyake with another oair of leather tights (this one looks more leathery, the previous one has a more patent leather look) and boots. Cool combi... like I said, only SHE can pass off something like this.

I would look WEIRD.

We're at this bar just behind my hotel. 2 bottles of Louis Latour. YUMS!

Day 3 conquest!

OK. I got this in Causeway Bay and I think this is pricey cos it cost me abpout SGD$40. But I love it so who cares!

Day 4
Oh... need to show you their supermarket...

Met up with Joyce after she went to meet her clients... So we decided to have dessert FIRST before dinner :P

Beancurd with red bean soup, Black sesame paste with rice dumplings and red bean soup for Lin alone. The black sesame paste is REALLY good! Smooth and not too sweet.... :)

Dinner!

Fried pig trotters!

All too busy eating and can't be bothered with me... :P

Fried beancurd!

Abalone with cucumber in XO sauce

TADAH! Crab Porridge!

I don't eat century eggs but this is so good!

Lin and the crab....

Back to Mongkok cos Joyce needed to get more stuff....

After shopping, we need to fill our tummy!

Supper....

Butter on ice...

Luncheon meat sandwich

though there is a bird flu scare, what the heck!

Shopping for the girls at home... pet carrier, a little teddy and cat grass...

I got these at a little lane in Causeway Bay. I bought a silver and black sweater for my mom and all these cost me SGD60 :)

Ad needed more boxers... So we got them at Giordano's :p

Ad figured she forgot her other phone so got something for her E51 :)

Day 5 Lunch

Dim Sum at Northpoint. Very crammed up restaurant.

See Lin all crammed up in a corner with Mark

Joyce and Joseph

Mark and Joyce

Yes, It's baked rice with 2 sauces. I personally like the tomato base better

These fried dumplings are super yums! You have to dipped it in the sauce...

These are OK. Not ultra fantastic.

More dim sum!

The pork ribs are REALLY good. The sauce soaks right into the meat. SUPER YUMS!

Funny dessert. Corn and sago.

A view under the bridge.

Our trip's most expensive buy SGD60. But it's really good!!!!!!

Hokkaido roasted scallops. All individually packed and they're real scallops! Juicy, fragrant and totally yummy! Good lavish snacks for Chinese New Year!
