Ohmmm.....

And yes, finally I signed up with the gym, darn.

Before I get bombarded with questions, let me tell you why . ;)

To Chewy :-
1. Yes, I went for a medical checkup long ago
2. No, the medical report did not show negative results, in fact, I am very healthy.

Reason :-
1. I need a schedule to get myself into the routine of things
2. I have been postponing my meditation, yoga and walks in the park
3. I went to my Tarot Card Reader, my astrologer and
both of them said that I need to meditate to calm my mind and keep myself grounded.
4. Also, I did my own angel card readings and meditation, yoga and quiet time with nature
keeps coming up! And I believe that there are no coincidences in this world :)
5. I've been talking about going back to yoga this ENTIRE year
6. I want to maintain my good health before I start regretting it when I'm old ;)
7. I do miss my "self" time when I'm at the gym

So there! No more procrastination and all talk with no action!

1st action taken : sign up with a gym
2nd action taken : got the schedule out
3rd action to be taken : GO TO THE GYM
4th action to be taken : STICK TO THE SCHEDULE

hee hee....

And in case you're wondering which gym, it's California Fitness. :/ Not very excited over the choice but I think it'll surfice.

My choices were :-
1. Fitness First
2. True Fitness
3. California Fitness

Fitness First is great! and I loved it there cos I was formerly from there cos it's near my house.
But it's expensive which is about $180plus each month. In addition, it's at paragon (nearest to my office) so parking will be costly. So cost-wise, it's out for me.

True Fitness is not-too-bad, the schedules are great at Great World (which is the nearest to my office) and Parkway Parade is near home. Reviews ain't fantastic and I'm not really excited over the idea of "celebrity" trainers and stuff. Cost wise is comparable to California.

So there, True Fitness and California Fitness is a close fight for me cos price wise is slightly under $60 per month (cheapest I can get :/) and facilities wise, they are almost the same (to me, at least) California Fitness pull factor was that it's nearer to my office and the schedules for my preferred classes are at a more "reasonable" timing like 10.30am (I can't expect myself to be at the gym at 8.30am cos that would be setting myself up for failure). To top it all, I have more friends at Cali cos weekend workouts can be a groupie outing. :)

However, those are my personal preferences and choice elimination process. It's entirely up to you to freely choose where you would like to go. Don't use my judgement as a yardstick for gym choices. Afterall, I have NOT tried the classes yet. I figured it would be too troublesome and too disruptive of my schedule if I were to switch gyms for try-outs. After that, I'll get all "confused" and "tired" and I'll drop the whole idea of working out. :P

Ha ha ha... yes, I'm a lazy bum which is why a routine is good for people like me.

I can try updating on the classes on Cali if you want. ;)

Got to go for my hair spa now...

xoxo

PLEASE donate to the Randy Pausch pancreatic cancer research fund.

Dr. Randy Pausch has passed away this morning on July 25, 2008. He will be GREATLY missed but his words and teachings will live on FOREVER!

This is a video that everyone should see. For those of you who aren't familiar with who Dr. Randy Pausch is, the short story goes like this:

He is a happily married man with three very young children. He spent years working for Disney as an Imagineer who helped them develop some of their theme park attractions. He then went on to teach at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pennsylvania.

Abruptly, his life took a turn for the worse when he got cancer and fought it off after years of treatment. The cancer has since returned and has near-totally corupted several vital organs leaving him with mere months to live.

This video is his shortened speech on how not even death can bring this man down and how the dreams he sought to come true can inspire us all.

Please pass this video from the Oprah Winfrey Show on to anyone you feel takes life for granted or just pass it to someone who loves to live.

Appreciation Night at Art House Living Room

The 2 men that I want to show my appreciation to...

Joel... my small group leader who has always been there for me quietly... he encourages not pushed, questions out of love not out of doubt, challenges so you can move forward... This wonderful man has a beautiful soul and his courage inspires many to move out of their comfort zone so that we can all be more than who we think we are...

To Joel, I deeply thank you...

This wonderful man I want to show my appreciation to is my basic/advance/LP buddy Chewy...
Even though we were never officially buddies, I thank God that you agreed to the unofficial arrangement. :)

It's funny how life has taken such a turn since Feb and I thank God that you have been through this ride with me, without you, I wouldn't have ventured this far, without you, I wouldn't have dared to put my first foot out, without you, I wouldn't dream of stepping at the edge of the cliff... and without you, I wouldn't have soared through the skies.... So thank you, my dear darling buddy...
How ah? ;P

xoxo.... I love you both!!!!!
