And yes, finally I signed up with the gym, darn.
Before I get bombarded with questions, let me tell you why . ;)
To Chewy :-
1. Yes, I went for a medical checkup long ago
2. No, the medical report did not show negative results, in fact, I am very healthy.
Reason :-
1. I need a schedule to get myself into the routine of things
2. I have been postponing my meditation, yoga and walks in the park
3. I went to my Tarot Card Reader, my astrologer and
both of them said that I need to meditate to calm my mind and keep myself grounded.
4. Also, I did my own angel card readings and meditation, yoga and quiet time with nature
keeps coming up! And I believe that there are no coincidences in this world :)
5. I've been talking about going back to yoga this ENTIRE year
6. I want to maintain my good health before I start regretting it when I'm old ;)
7. I do miss my "self" time when I'm at the gym
So there! No more procrastination and all talk with no action!
1st action taken : sign up with a gym
2nd action taken : got the schedule out
3rd action to be taken : GO TO THE GYM
4th action to be taken : STICK TO THE SCHEDULE
hee hee....
And in case you're wondering which gym, it's California Fitness. :/ Not very excited over the choice but I think it'll surfice.
My choices were :-
1. Fitness First
2. True Fitness
3. California Fitness
Fitness First is great! and I loved it there cos I was formerly from there cos it's near my house.
But it's expensive which is about $180plus each month. In addition, it's at paragon (nearest to my office) so parking will be costly. So cost-wise, it's out for me.
True Fitness is not-too-bad, the schedules are great at Great World (which is the nearest to my office) and Parkway Parade is near home. Reviews ain't fantastic and I'm not really excited over the idea of "celebrity" trainers and stuff. Cost wise is comparable to California.
So there, True Fitness and California Fitness is a close fight for me cos price wise is slightly under $60 per month (cheapest I can get :/) and facilities wise, they are almost the same (to me, at least) California Fitness pull factor was that it's nearer to my office and the schedules for my preferred classes are at a more "reasonable" timing like 10.30am (I can't expect myself to be at the gym at 8.30am cos that would be setting myself up for failure). To top it all, I have more friends at Cali cos weekend workouts can be a groupie outing. :)
However, those are my personal preferences and choice elimination process. It's entirely up to you to freely choose where you would like to go. Don't use my judgement as a yardstick for gym choices. Afterall, I have NOT tried the classes yet. I figured it would be too troublesome and too disruptive of my schedule if I were to switch gyms for try-outs. After that, I'll get all "confused" and "tired" and I'll drop the whole idea of working out. :P
Ha ha ha... yes, I'm a lazy bum which is why a routine is good for people like me.
I can try updating on the classes on Cali if you want. ;)
Got to go for my hair spa now...
xoxo
